Synopsis and Analysis: This bill would enact the Rebuild Alabama Act, to levy an additional excise tax on gasoline and diesel fuel and provide for the collection and distribution of the proceeds for state, county, municipal and State Port Authority transportation infrastructure purposes.

This bill also provides for an additional registration fee for certain motor vehicles and the distribution of the proceeds of the additional fee.
